As much as I love to read, sometimes I just want to sit there and not use my brain. So I turn to Netflix, or more recently Hulu as well. I have put together a list of my favorite shows from both Netflix and Hulu. These save my commute to and from work, which is, unfortunately, four hours of my day. Without further ado, and in no particular order other than split between Hulu and Netflix, here we go.
1. The Goldbergs
The Goldbergs has quickly become one of my favorite sitcoms. Why? Well, not only is it set in the ’80s and centered around a super relatable family but the 80’s references? ON POINT. If you haven’t given this a watch, I highly recommend it.
Does this really need an explanation?
3. Beverly Hills 90210
RIP Luke Perry, you were always my favorite. In remembrance of Luke Perry’s life and talent, give 90210 another watch on Hulu. You won’t regret it. But you may want a box of tissues when Dylan makes an appearance.
4. Fresh off the Boat
Constance Wu should absolutely be on your radar. If not from Crazy Rich Asians, you should absolutely check her out in Fresh off the Boat. Based on the best-seller of the same name, you are seriously missing out on some laughs with this one.
5. Modern Family
Modern Family is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms. Sarah Hyland, can I be your best friend? Kthanks.
6. The Office
Again, if you have never seen The Office, you should really think about changing that. This show is hilarious and great for a laugh and some mindless TV.
7. Love, Rosie
I’m a big fan of Lilly Collins, so if she is in it, you can bet I have watched it. This movie was so adorable and (for the most part) fairly relatable. It may not have gotten the most positive reception, but I still think it’s worth a watch!
8. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
I grew up with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, so it should be no surprise that I jumped on this bandwagon as soon as it came to town. Kiernan Shipka is phenomenal with this darker twist on everybody’s favorite teen witch.
Calling all you Archie fans! Riverdale is another dark take on an old classic. Each episode leaves you wanting more, so be prepared to binge watch!
What’s a list of Netflix shows without Friends? Not an accurate list, that’s what!
